Our Company

The Backbone of
Industrial Operations

An American lubricants company, headquartered in Kent, Washington and run by formulators, supply-chain specialists and industrial sales professionals with decades behind them. Built for the operators who keep things running.

Our Story

Built on Experience.
Based in America.

SIMCOE Lubricants is an American engine oil company, headquartered in Kent, Washington, in the Kent Valley industrial corridor on I-5 between the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma. Our people have spent their careers in formulation chemistry, industrial sales and lubricant supply chain: more than thirty-five years of it between them.

We built SIMCOE around a gap we had watched widen for years. Small and mid-sized operators, the independent workshops, quick-lube bays, fleet managers and manufacturers who keep American vehicles running, need oil built to current OEM specifications. What they rarely get is the volume pricing, batch documentation and direct technical access that the enterprise accounts take for granted. SIMCOE exists to close that gap.

We keep the range deliberately tight and the standards high. Every grade is formulated to current API and ILSAC specifications, priced without a distributor markup stack, and backed by a technical team you can reach directly. Every drum we ship is blended to the same spec sheet we would run our own equipment on, and every batch carries a published analysis.

"We don't make lubricants for machines.
We make them for the people who depend on those machines."
SIMCOE Founding Team

We are a technical team, and we would rather earn an account than inherit one. If our spec sheet stacks up against what you are running today, we would like the chance to prove it on your line.

What Stands Behind the Range
Formulation
Built to Current Specification
Every grade is formulated against the API and ILSAC standards in force today, not the ones that were current when the additive package was first written. Engine hardware moved on; the oil has to move with it.
Verification
Analysis on Every Batch
No lot leaves without a certificate of analysis tied to the batch code on the pack. Kinematic viscosity, viscosity index, flash point, pour point and total base number, measured and recorded, not estimated.
Supply
Sourced Against Disruption
Base oil is contracted across more than one source. A workshop that has standardised on a grade cannot afford to be told it is unavailable for six weeks, so we carry the inventory position to prevent it.
Logistics
Positioned on the I-5
The Kent Valley is one of the largest distribution clusters on the West Coast, sitting on I-5 minutes from the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma. It puts a large share of the independent service market we supply inside a day's freight.
Support
Talk to the Technical Team
Specification questions go to the people who wrote the specification, not to a ticket queue. If a grade is wrong for your application we will say so, including when the answer is a competitor's product.
Pricing
Without the Markup Stack
We sell direct to workshops, quick-lube operators and regional distributors. Removing the layers between the blender and the bay is most of the reason the number works.
What We Stand For

Our Core Values

Technical Excellence

Every formulation we produce is built to meet the current API and ILSAC performance requirements for its grade, and every batch is analysed before it ships. No shortcuts, no compromises.

Reliability

Our clients depend on us the way their machines depend on our lubricants, completely. Consistent product quality and on-time delivery aren't aspirations; they're non-negotiable minimums.

Partnership

We don't transact. We partner. Our technical sales team works alongside clients to specify the right products for their exact applications, supporting them long after the first order ships.

Transparency

Clear specifications, honest lead times, and full SDS documentation. Our clients always know exactly what they're receiving and why it's the right choice.

Sustainability

We're committed to reducing our environmental footprint through extended-drain formulations, re-refinery partnerships, and responsible packaging programs across our distribution network.

Security of Supply

Dual-source base oil agreements and strategic inventory reserves ensure our clients are protected against supply chain disruptions, which is critical for continuous manufacturing operations.

Standards & Specifications

Formulated To
Industry Specifications

Our gasoline engine oils are formulated to meet the performance requirements of the specifications below. We are straightforward about what that means: these are the standards the formulation is built against, not certifications or approvals that SIMCOE currently holds.

API SP
American Petroleum Institute: current passenger car engine oil category
API SN
Preceding API category: backward compatible service
ILSAC GF-6A
Fuel economy and engine protection standard: SAE 0W-20 through 5W-30
ILSAC GF-6B
Standard covering the SAE 0W-16 viscosity grade
What We Do Not Claim

SIMCOE Lubricants holds no third-party quality certification, no API licence, and no vehicle manufacturer approval at this time. We do not display the API Service Symbol or any OEM approval mark on our products or in our marketing. Where a vehicle make is named on a product page, it identifies a suitable application, not an endorsement or approval by that manufacturer. Batch analysis is available for every grade through our lab reports library.
